Estate and Property Ltd is a family run independent financial and mortgage advice firm based in Bentham, near Lancaster, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.

Catherine Airey, is also an Independent Financial Adviser. She works from her home office in Witney, Oxfordshire. She is a daughter of Ken and Barbara.

Chris Burt is an Independent Financial Adviser. He works from home in Pendle, Lancs.

Charlotted Fisher LLB, another daughter of Ken and Barbara, is our Compliance Officer, and she makes sure all our business practices are fully compliant with FCA rules.

I became an IFA in August 1991. I also have experience as a teacher at a high school and a Sixth Form College teaching English and Religious Studies to A Level. I was the Christendom Trust MB Reckitt Research Fellow at Lancaster University during the 1980s. I have lectured at the Open University during the 1990s on three courses, American Studies, Pacific Studies and Religion In Victoria Britain. I am now a Chartered Financial Planner, and I am qualified and authorised to advise on Defined Benefit Pension Transfers, and Equity Release Mortgages. In my spare time I enjoy walking the local beautiful and exhilarating fells with my wife Barbara. I am based at the head office in Bentham, near Lancaster. I started in the financial services industry in 2002 and have worked my way up to become the Director of Estate and Property Ltd.  Although our head office is in Bentham near Lancaster I am currently living in West Oxfordshire. I have worked in the Financial Services industry since 1984, starting at the Prudential as a member of the field force until 2001. I then started my own independent financial services company and specialised in advising on investments and pensions particularly in the Government sector.

Although I retired in 2015 after selling my business, I have recently started advising again and will continue to specialise in advising on investments and Government pension schemes
